The Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT) is an all-Indian entrance exam for undergraduate and graduate degree programs (LL.B. and LL.M.) at National Law Schools and Universities. About 60, 000 applicants took the CLAT exam last year in an effort to get into the top law schools in the nation.
22 national law universities and more than 70 affiliated colleges will accept applicants who pass the CLAT national law entrance exam. Candidates who pass the test are given consideration for enrollment in undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
NLSIU Bengaluru, NLU New Delhi, NUL Hyderabad, and IIT Kharagpur are some of the top law schools that admit students based on CLAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria
It is necessary to take the CLAT Exam in order to be accepted into the law school of your choice. Although there is no upper age limit for taking the CLAT Exam, applicants must make sure they meet all requirements for the course in question.
- The applicant must have finished their education at the 10+2 level or an equivalent level.
- The candidate must possess a diploma from a recognized state or national secondary education board in order to apply.
- The candidate must have received a minimum of 45% overall at the 10+2 level (40% for candidates from the reserved category).
- The applicant must also have earned passing grades in each of the class 12th subjects.

REGISTRATION FEE
The CLAT registration process includes candidate registration, application form filling, uploading documents, and payment of application fees.
- For OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI categories, the CLAT application fee is INR 4000; for SC, ST, and BP categories, it is INR 3500.
- For the CLAT, applicants must have 45% in their Class 12 grade (or 40% for SC/ST candidates). Check CLAT eligibility criteria.
- At the time of completing the CLAT application form, candidates can choose up to three CLAT exam centers in the order of their preference.
- There is no form-correction service available after CLAT registration is complete. Candidates should therefore take care to carefully complete their application form information.
