Counseling procedure
How do you take admission for the state quota?
In Kerala State, the Commission for Entrance Examination (CEE) provides admission in various courses by conducting an entrance exam and counseling, but admission in MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses is given on NEET score, so admission to these courses is done by CEE only by counseling. It is given that the registration has been completed by CEE for the entrance exam of the rest of the courses. Registration has also been completed for admission in MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses. If the candidate wants to be admitted in Kerala state then they must register for CEE for MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses. The admission prospectus will also be released by the authorities and they must keep an eye on the website that is https://www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in/.
After the results of NEET 2024, Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) which is authorized by CEE for medical admission will release the list of registered candidates for state quota admission in MBBS, BDS, and Ayurveda courses. Admission is given by KEAM by conducting the first round, second round counseling, and mop-up round counseling online mode.
First round of counseling
The first phase of seat allotment will be in online mode and will be conducted by KEA according to the given schedule on the website. The choices have to be filled by the candidates after which seats will be allotted. If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round then you have to join the allotted seat, for this one-year fee will have to be deposited in CEE after getting allotted Government College.
If the candidate wants to upgrade their seats then they have to fill the choices again and if they get their seats upgraded in the second round then they have to take admission on the allotted seats of the second round. If a candidate has been allotted a seat in the first round and did not take admission on it, then they are not eligible for the next round of counseling as the first round is not a free exit round.
Second round of counseling
In the second round of counseling fresh registrations will not be opened. All the candidates have to fill their choices again, if they do not fill the choices again then their choices from the first round will be considered. This round is also conducted in online mode. If the candidate has been allotted a seat in the second round of counseling then they are to deposit one one-year fee through an online mode of payment and go to the medical college and take admission. The seat upgrade option will be available for the candidates.
Mop up round of counseling
This round of counseling is conducted to fill the vacant seats after the first and second rounds of counseling. The candidates who did not get any seat allotted in the first and second rounds of counseling are eligible. Those candidates who have been allotted seats but not Joined in the first round and second round are not eligible for this round. Those candidates who have been allotted seats and Joined in the first round and second round are eligible for upgradation in this round. The mop-up round is conducted in online mode. After this, admission is given to the vacant seat according to the merit and candidate’s choice.
Stray vacancy round of counseling
Even after the mop-up round, some seats remain vacant; they are filled by the CEE through a stray vacancy round of counseling. Stray vacancy round is also conducted online.
