IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur, was established in 2009 and is one of the leading institutes of the country located in Jaipur. It has been accredited by the NAAC and recognized by UGC. With about 4500 students enrolled in various programs, the university has a total of 14 departments offering UG, PG and Research programs in the fields of the Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Commerce and Management along with several professional courses like Bachelors in Education, Fine Arts, Journalism, etc. This year, the University has also introduced several new professionals and co-educational programs such as Library and Information Science, Forensic Science, and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology. In addition to their degree courses, the candidates can also opt for Diploma/ Certificate programs.
Admission to these courses is done on the basis of merit scored in the last qualifying examination. A one-year professional diploma in Clinical Psychology has been approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Government of India, admission to which is done through an entrance exam followed by a Group discussion and Personal Interview round. Admission to MBA is based on valid scores in CAT/MAT examination followed by a GD/PI round. Admission to Ph.D. is through Research Entrance Test (RET)
