In the wake of India\’s independence in 1947, the imperative to rebuild and empower the nation led to the conception of a transformative educational vision. Late Sri H M Gangadharaiah, inspired by the teachings of luminaries like Sri Acharya Vinoba Bhave, Mahatma Gandhi, Sri Basavanna, and Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar, envisioned an institution that would sow the seeds of knowledge to nurture an enlightened society. This aspiration led to the establishment of the Sri Siddhartha Education Society (SSES) in 1959, dedicated to extending education to those in need. Guided by his father\’s legacy, Dr. G Shivaprasad and Dr. G Parameshwara assumed leadership, steering SSES into overseeing over 84 distinguished academic, medical, engineering, dental, and research institutions, impacting over 16,000 students and nearly 1,800 staff members worldwide. At the heart of this endeavor is a commitment to holistic education, reflected in institutions like Colleges of Medicine, Dental, Engineering and technology, Nursing, and a notable hospital, collectively weaving the tapestry of enlightened learning and quality healthcare.
