Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, Karol Bagh in India is a historic establishment that is also special in that it houses both streams of medicine under one roof. In 1883, Hazeek-ul-Mulk Hakim Abdul Majeed Khan Sahib founded “Madrasa e Tibia.”
This madrasa-e-tibia was later re-established in the new building at Karol Bagh by Masih-ul-Mulk Hakim Ajmal Khan Sahib. His Excellency Lord Hardinge, the Viceroy of India at the time, lay the institute’s foundation stone on March 29, 1916. On February 13, 1921, the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, gave the institute its official opening.
