MBBS and BDS Counseling Authority: Official Website for all States

The MBBS and BDS counseling authority is anticipated to commence in the fourth week of July 2025, roughly a month after the NEET 2025 results are announced, or at the latest by August 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the NEET result 2025 will be announced by June 14, 2025, following which the NEET 2025 counseling process will commence.

The NEET 2025 examination took place on May 4, 2025. This year, approximately 21 lakh aspirants participated in the exam, which is nearly two lakh fewer than in the previous year. Due to the challenging nature of the exam, the NEET 2025 cutoff is projected to be lower. Although the cutoff percentiles will remain unchanged, the scores are expected to be lower.

The MBBS and BDS Counseling Authority will be managed by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) in an online format, except for the final round, which involves the institute reporting process; candidates must be physically present at the designated institute for document verification and to finalize the admission process. There will be around five to six rounds of NEET 2025 counseling, and these rounds may be prolonged in response to the number of available seats.

FAQs about MBBS and BDS Counseling Authority

Following the NEET examination, the process for admissions and counseling is managed by either the state authorities or the MCC (DGHS) for all government, semi-government, minority, private, and deemed medical institutions throughout India, except for AIIMS and JIPMER.

Typically, this entails setting up an account, providing personal and academic information, submitting documents, and paying the enrollment fee. Once registered, applicants must engage in the option selection process and confirm their choices.

In India, getting admitted to MBBS programs in 2025 requires taking the NEET-UG exam, which is organized by NTA. This exam is the sole entry test for prestigious government, private, and deemed medical colleges. To secure a place, candidates need to register, achieve the necessary cutoff score, and attend the counselling sessions.
