Top 5 Changes in the NEET 2025 Exam
The National Testing Agency has released a notification regarding the NEET 2025 exam pattern on its official website. As per the latest update, the pattern and duration of the NTA NEET 2025 exam have been reverted to the pre-COVID format. With these changes, the paper-based test will no longer include Section B and optional questions.
Hence, NEET 2025 will have 180 compulsory questions, 45 each in Physics and Chemistry, and 90 in the Biology section, and will last 180 minutes. However, the marking regime is expected to remain the same as last year. Therefore, candidates must keep themselves updated with the new exam pattern and adjust their strategies accordingly to maximize their success in the exam.
Choice of Examination Center
The Information Bulletin compiles cities and their respective codes where NEET (UG) 2025 will take place. Venues will be allocated primarily in one of the candidates’ selected cities, with no human involvement.

City Selections will be confined to either the State of Permanent Domicile or the State of Current Residence.
Candidates may opt for their city or adjacent cities within their State of Residence only, and not for distant cities in other States.

- No points for Unattempted/Unanswered queries.
- In instances where multiple choices are deemed correct, 4 points will be awarded solely to those who selected at least one of the correct answers.
- If all choices are verified as correct, then 4 points will be distributed to everyone who attempted the question.
- In case none of the choices are correct, or a question is identified as flawed or omitted, then all participants will receive 4 points, regardless of whether they attempted the question or not.
