Admission Process

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
  • A minimum aggregate score of 50% in these subjects for general category candidates; reserved category candidates may have relaxed criteria.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year.
• NEET-UG Examination:
  • Aspiring candidates must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Securing a qualifying score in NEET-UG is mandatory for MBBS admissions at PIMS.
• Punjab NEET-UG Counseling Registration:
  • After qualifying NEET-UG, candidates must register for the Punjab NEET-UG counseling process conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot.
  • Registration involves filling out an online application form, uploading necessary documents, and paying the counseling fee.
• Choice Filling and Locking:
  • Registered candidates need to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses, including PIMS Jalandhar, during the counseling process.
  • Choices must be locked within the stipulated time frame to be considered for seat allotment.
• Seat Allotment:
  • Based on NEET-UG scores, preferences filled, seat availability, and reservation criteria, seats are allotted to candidates.
  • The seat allotment result is published on the official BFUHS website.
• Reporting to the Allotted College:
  • Candidates who are allotted a seat at PIMS Jalandhar must report to the college within the specified time frame.
